Welcome to the Voralpenbad Viechtwang! Bathing fun is guaranteed for the guests here.

Look forward to the solar-heated swimming pool, the separate children's pool and various sunbathing lawns and sunbathing areas. The Voralpenbad also offers 25-meter lanes and a 1-meter diving board.

The sand play area for toddlers, the children's slide and the various swings and play equipment are also great fun for the little ones. The area is also equipped with a table tennis table, beach volleyball court and soccer pitch.

The buffet takes care of your physical well-being.

How to get to Viechtwang im Almtal:

We recommend using public transport!

By train:
From Wels train station, take the Almtalbahn (line 153) towards Grünau im Almtal to the Viechtwang stop.
There are numerous connections from Wels train station to the main train services on the Westbahn line (line 101).

From the stop, it's about a 20-minute walk, 1.5 km.

By bus:
OÖVV bus line 533 Gmunden - Scharntein - Grünau - Almsee. Viechtwang Museumstraße stop

From the stop, walk approximately 8 minutes, 750m

Take the Salzkammergut Shuttle Service Route 52 from Laakirchen to the Viechtwang/Museumstraße junction (same walk as from the bus stop), or from Vorchdorf take the Salzkammergut Shuttle Service Route 70 to the Scharnstein town center stop (15-minute walk, 1.1 km). Please call the taxi center at least one hour in advance at +43 50 422 422 to reserve.

Bike & Hike, Arrival by bike:
Coming from Wels or Linz, take the R4 Traun Cycle Route or the R6 Römer Cycle Route, or from Gmunden, take the R4 Traun Cycle Route, or from Passau via Vöcklabruck and Schwanenstadt, take the R6 Römer Cycle Route to Lambach, via the Traun Power Station in Lambach, and then to Bad Wimsbach-Neydharting in the direction of Vorchdorf Einsiedling. Continue along the cycle route for a short while onto the R13 Traunviertel Cycle Path to the R11 Almtal Cycle Path via Pettenbach to Viechtwang, then continue to the outdoor pool. Also coming from Grünau im Almtal/Almsee, take the R11 Almtal Cycle Path to Viechtwang, then continue to the outdoor pool. The cycle route on the Traunviertel Tour from Gmunden via St. Konrad to Viechtwang, then continue to the outdoor pool, is also available.

By car:

Motorway A8 Passau - Wels - Voralpenkreuz A9 - and A9 from Graz to the Ried/Tr. exit. - Voitsdorf - Pettenbach - Scharnstein - Viechtwang
Motorway A1: Munich - Salzburg - Regau - B145 to Gmunden - B120 to Scharnstein - Viechtwang junction - Viechtwang outdoor pool
