How to get to Gmunden in the Traunsee-Almtal region!

We recommend travelling by public transport!

The stops "Rathausplatz" and "Franz-Josefs-Platz" for the Traunsee tram and bus lines are just 3 - 5 minutes walk away!

By train: via the Salzkammergutbahn (line 170) from Attnang-Puchheim (connection to the western railway line) or from Bad Ischl, Bad Aussee to Gmunden station. With the Traunsee tram (line 161) from Stern & Haferl Verkehr from Gmunden railway station (Park & Ride) or from Vorchdorf Eggenberg via Gmunden-Engelhof railway station (Park & Ride) to the Gmunden Rathausplatz stop.

by bus: Arrival possible with the Citybus lines, departure with the Traunsee Tram

by car: Western motorway A1: Vienna - Voralpenkreuz-A1 - exit A1 Laakirchen West - B 144 in the direction of Gmunden West motorway A1: Munich - Salzburg - exit A1 Regau - B 145 in the direction of Gmunden Inntal motorway A8 Passau - Wels - Voralpenkreuz A1 - exit A1 Laakirchen West - B 144 in the direction of Gmunden in the direction of Gmunden town centre

Car park in Gmunden:
Gmunden underground car park (5 minutes' walk to the Arkadenhof)

Further parking spaces in the centre (partly short-term parking zone)

Use the Park & Ride car parks Engelhof or at Gmunden railway station and the Traunsee tram.
