Mindful Intuitive Archery

Take a stand, concentrate on the essentials and leave the stress behind: archery makes it possible. Incidentally, you can land a direct hit for your health with a bow and arrow.

You meet in a group of at least 4 participants (up to a maximum of 12 participants) after agreeing on the day and time at the agreed location, where you will be welcomed by Günter Höhenberger (ÖBSV trainer). In the immediate vicinity of the hotel / seminar house / archery facility, you will be introduced to the fascination of mindful archery. Then the archers warm up with simple exercises such as shoulder circles, arm circles, gripping exercises, etc. "We also mobilize the back and carry out imitation exercises, which means we practice the sequence of movements without equipment". Then comes the target practice, first without and then with a target: “You try to shoot five or six arrows at one point in one go”. Guests practice mindful archery, which means both eyes are open. Intuition and instinct are promoted. The goal is to get a feel for the movement and to know instinctively how and where to aim. Of course, the archers also learn various tricks to improve their accuracy; after all, the fun of it increases with every direct hit. In contrast to archery, however, the path is much more the goal than the goal itself. “The fact that you always hit the middle of the target is secondary. It is much more important to practice the right posture and the right sequence of movements”. We shoot impartially and train in order to achieve our personal optimum.
