Andreas Jungwirth, born in Linz in 1967, studied German and theater studies in Vienna and drama at the conservatory. In addition to his writing, he teaches at the Schauspielhaus Vienna, where he founded the "Höspielhaus". So far the youth novels "Not a single word" and "Poise" have appeared.
Berlin, Leipzig, Vienna, Zurich - in the story "We are no longer in contact" David ends up from one city to the next; sometimes he studies zoology, then German studies, has various jobs. He gets to know people and loses sight of them again. Because despite his longing for a solid partnership, he never endures with a man for long. Promiscuity, fast, non-binding sex shape David's social behavior. But hidden beneath the superficiality, David's abyss are taking more and more space, growing frustration, self-destruction and violence. Until the valve bursts into the air.
In his multi-layered text, Andreas Jungwirth lets people speak who were close to David for a short while. Together they lead us to sensitively described moments of the vulnerability of a restless generation.
