Every two years, Interkultur, the city of Bad Ischl, the province of Upper Austria and Salzkammergut Touristik invite choirs from all over the world and friends of choral music to Bad Ischl for a musical competition. A colourful bouquet of choral music awaits visitors. 14 different nations from all over the world will be sending children's and youth choirs as well as mixed choirs. In addition to sacred choral music a capella, folklore, popular choral music and jazz as well as chamber music will be on offer.

In the enchanting landscape of the Salzkammergut and the inimitable flair of the famous imperial spa, every choir performance is a unique artistic and cultural experience.

Bad Ischl is an outstanding festival town, full of historical references and rich in stories, for example about the legendary imperial couple Sissi and Franz.

In addition to the competitions, warm encounters between the choirs and with guests of the town of Bad Ischl take place in gala concerts, friendship concerts and church services.

The town of Bad Ischl and the wonderful ambience of the Salzkammergut cultural heritage region also offer numerous opportunities for tourist excursions to the most beautiful lakes, mountains and places in the world.
