The Grundlsee with its natural beach, which is many kilometers long, is a paradise for swimmers, divers, surfers, yachtsmen, sunbathers and nature lovers. We offer a thrilling children´s program with painting competitions, ghost hikes and open fires on the beach... And when you learn about the many hiking trails and mountain tours, the modern riding arena and the cross-country riding possibilities, you might well be surprised that Grundlsee has still kept its natural character. In winter skaters will enjoy the huge skating area on the lake. Cross-country skiers, skiers and tobogganers enjoy the reliable snow conditions in the Grundlsee area. Worth visiting are the Grundlsee parish church (1888, neo-Gothic), the Meßkapelle chapel in Gößl (1819/20, its construction was sponsored by the archduke John), the Imperial Stables in Grundlsee with gallery, and the "Via Artis", an artists´ trail with four stations.
