Strandbad (Lido)

Built in 10 weeks from May to July 1927 total area of 6000 SQM with direct access to the lake  The Gmunden lido, which is under monumental protection, is located on the north bank of lake Traunsee in the western part of the city. It has a 65 metres long water slide, a current canal, direct access to the lake, docks, a heated sports-pool with an adventure slide and children´s area, a children pool with sun sails, a nudist sun terrace, a beach volleyball court and a street ball court, a football field, a table tennis table, more reclining surface and a self-service restaurant.
It is open in May and September, daily from 10am till 6pm and from June to August, daily from 9am till 8pm. In wet weather reduced service from Monday till Friday, 10am till 12am. On public holidays, Saturday and Sundays no reduced service!
