Check-in at your hotel and handover of travel documents for your bike tour in the Salzkammergut. You leave Salzburg and cycle swiftly in the direction of the Salzkammergut. The breathtaking Drachenwand shows you the way to Mondsee. Up to the Scharfling, past the picturesque Lake Krottensee, the view opens up to Lake Wolfgangsee. The effort was worth it, because now you will descend at a rapid pace to Mozart‘s village, St. Gilgen. You will crossover to St. Wolfgang by boat and now it is only a short distance to the imperial town of Bad Ischl. On today's last stage to Bad Goisern you follow the River Traun. Example of hotel: Landhotel Agathawirt\*\*\* in Bad Goisern **Day 3 - From Bad Goisern via Lake Hallstatt to Lake Traunsee, approx. 65 km** Today‘s first tour takes you to the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Dachstein-Salzkammergut. The region shows its wildest side and via Bad Goisern you reach Lake Hallstatt. Beautifully framed by mighty rocks and a witness over 7,000 years of cultural history. From the eastern shore you have a splendidl view of Hallstatt - probably the 'most beautiful lakeside town in the world'. The Traun River accompanies you to Lake Traunsee. Example of hotel: Hotel Hocheck\*\*\* in Altmünster **Day 4 - From Lake Traunsee to Lake Mondsee, approx. 65 km** Like a fjord, the Lake Traunsee forces its way between Mt. Traunstein and the Höllengebirge mountains range. Along the lakeshore you cycle towards the ceramic town of Gmunden. Through the Aurachtal Valley you reach the turquoise shimmering Lake Attersee and continue to Mondsee, where you stay overnight.
