SUP CAMP with the Austrian SUP State Champion at Lake Fuschl

Now it’s fixed! The SUP BOX team is organising a SUP CAMP for ambitious SUP beginners and advanced SUP riders at Lake Fuschlsee from 20 – 22 June 2021. As coach, the current Austrian state champion is in the stand Up paddling, Christian diver. Who is the SUP CAMP suitable for?
Status UP paddling is a grassroots sport, which can be practiced as a leisure activity but also as a professional sport. This is why the CAMP is aimed at ambitious SUP beginners as well as advanced SUP players. “It will be a SUP CAMP, where we want to introduce enthusiastic paddlers to the perfect SUP technique and the fun of paddling”, says Christian Taucher. Therefore, no great experience is necessary to participate in the camp.

There is also the opportunity to test different boards & paddles from Glory Boards (the Salzburg SUP brand), SIC, Starboard and other brands from the SUP BOX sales range. Hardboards, as used by the professionals, are also on site for testing. Lisa-Maria Grims (physiotherapist) accompanies a unit on the SUP and gives physiotherapeutic tips and tricks for the perfect physical alignment.

More about it

Plötzhof an old prison at Baderbach

Newly staged museum in Hof near Salzburg opened and will be open to everyone from June 2021 onwards.
As part of the “Leader Projects”, the prison was staged as a museum in 2020 and made accessible to the public. The name for the museum #ploetzhof is a further development of the Plötzhaus (house = farm or yard), which was named after the waterfall “Plötz” of the Bader stream. The #ploetzhof is one of the oldest buildings in the municipality of Hof near Salzburg. The former Plötzhaus was formerly used as a prison. This was located in the historical core of the building – the basement built on rock, which was built in the early 16th century from rough stone.

Narcissus run 2021 virtual

The narcississus run traditionally takes place on a beautiful route around Lake Altausseer. But even this year the narcissus run can not take place in its usual form. In order not to disappoint the many running sports enthusiasts and to keep the daffodil running alive, the WSV Altaussee has created the virtual daffodil running for this year. Although it sounds as virtual as it is, it is not at all. GPS – route recording with smartphones or on the wrist using modern sports watches makes it possible to digitize your live performance and thus to measure yourself against each other. All information on participation and registration can be found here:

• In part Two we were guests on Thomas Witzany's “Hummelwiese” (bumblebee grassland). we looked at his sweet hedge and the natural bathing pond and baked wood-fired bread

• The third part of the series is about Upper Austria’s most sustainable packaging – the new school milk cup from Hannes Strobl, in which he recently delivered his organic school milk to more than 80 schools in Upper Austria.

• For the fourth part of the series, we met Johanna Enzinger, the famous sea hostess from Zell am Moos am Irrsee and talked to her about regional products, the AMA-Gastrosiegel and much more.

In our new episode on Monday, we will focus on the question “Why is the Mondsee actually an European protected area?”

Large wine lounge on Mondsee

For the first time, there will be a high-quality wine event for wine and pleasure lovers on the Seefestgelände in Mondsee from June 18-20, 2021.

The idea for "Wein am SEE" on the Mondsee lake shore came about as a Corona alternative to the well-known and very popular "Wine in the Castle" event at Mondsee Castle.
The concept is planned as a three day event with around 60 winegrowers from Austria and, if travel conditions allow, also with winegrowers from neighboring countries. In addition, one would like to win regional suppliers for the "culinary delights" as exhibitors.

“It should be cozy, down-to-earth and homely! In particular, the very appealing atmosphere on the lakeshore will be presented by “WEIN am SEE” as a large feel-good wine lounge, ”says the organizer Peter Lindpointner, who lives in Innerschwand am Mondsee.

Since "WEIN am SEE" is planned in a cordoned-off area, a very good corona prevention concept can be developed and implemented here.

With a corresponding success, "Wein am See" could of course be repeated annually.

As an additional benefit, the region benefits from an attractive value chain such as overnight stays and additional stimulation in trade and catering by exhibitors and visitors.
