May in the Salzkammergut has a lot in store for you: In the Attersee-Attergau region there is Austria's first star park since April 2021, which has already received an award from the International Darksky Association. In Ausseerland, fly fishing in the Traun rivers is very popular. There, the fly-fishing season lasts from 15 April to 31 October. The Dachstein-Salzkammergut holiday region also convinces with regional and culinary delicacies, while in the Fuschlsee region you can enjoy and explore the dreamlike scenery around Lake Fuschl on foot or by bike.

Still, the smell of cookies and the contemplation of the Christmas season should not be missed. About mustard seeds and caviar
Rainer Baumgartner's mustard factory combines the well-established with the unusual and thus creates taste experiences that promise a taste adventure.
As soon as you arrive at the Senferei in St. Agatha in the Inner Salzkammergut, you immediately feel the passion that Rainer Baumgartner has for his product. He is a mustard maker in the first generation and has been running the mustard factory "Annamax" since 2011. The company owes its name to Mr. Baumgartner's two children, who according to him are the roots of the business.
