 Gmundner Swan Egg

The original Gmundner Swan Egg with a good 100 years on the hump is probably the oldest praline specialty from Gmunden. The recipe was once bequeathed to our first generations and never changed.

The table culture may not be missing of course in regard to the culinary arts. Ceramics have a high value in the city of Gmunden. At Gmundnder Keramik, each piece is a hand-painted unique specimen.

It is a pastry that is only available at the bakers in the Almtal. It is a double cookie that is intentionally a little heavier than the normal size.
