From 27 November 2025, the Salzkammergut treetop walk will be transformed into a radiant backdrop for unique winter moments. A very special winter highlight awaits visitors to the Salzkammergut treetop walk on the Grünberg in Gmunden. Hundreds of thousands of soft lights will illuminate the path and amaze guests of all ages. It start on 27 November 2025, and anyone who doesn't want to miss this experience should make a note of the date. Because the magic of lights on the Grünberg can only be experienced until 11 January 2026. CLOSED: 24., 25. & 31. December 2025 During this period, the Salzkammergut treetop walk is always open and illuminated from Thursday to Sunday from 1 pm to 8 pm, with the last admission at 7 pm. With the exception of the Christmas holidays and New Year's Eve, the Magic of Lights can be experienced every day during the Christmas holidays. The Grünberg mountain railway will take you up and down the mountain between 12:30 and 20:30 during the opening days of the Magic of Lights. The regular treetop walk admission prices apply to the Magic of Lights at no extra charge. Tickets are available online at shop.gruenberg.info or at the ticket office of the Grünberg mountain railway and at the Salzkammergut treetop walk.
