The cleverly devised network of cycle paths in the Salzkammergut is a paradise for cyclists of all classes. Not only mountain bikers, racing or trekking cyclists get their money's worth on the more than thousand kilometre long network of paths.

Classic bike tours - also with the e-bike - are becoming increasingly popular. The regions of the Salzkammergut offer countless advantages, only it is not always permanently flat in the middle of the Eastern Alps. It is therefore obvious to explore the many beautiful places sportily and also with the support of an environmentally friendly electric motor. E-bikes can be rented in many places. Charging stations can also be found almost everywhere, so as not to have to delay the enjoyment of the e-bike tours unnecessarily.

4 million Germans already own a racing bike. In order to be able to offer the racing cyclist also what he needs one must be professionally set up. For this reason, six regions in Upper Austria and Salzburg have joined forces and founded the "SalzburgerLand Salzkammergut racing bike region" together with racing bike-friendly businesses.

The racing bike-friendly area stretches from Salzburg far into the Salzkammergut region and from the northernmost part of the Salzburger Seenland to the Dachstein region.
