Every year again, “Advent in Mondsee” captivates guests and locals alike.

The Christmas Market on the newly designed Markplatz square in front of the picturesque basilica, in the impressive cloister of the former Benedictine monastery and today’s Schloss Mondsee castle, has preserved its authenticity.

Traditional customs and an authentic atmosphere form an idyllic counterpart to the pre-Christmas hustle and bustle.

“Advent in Mondsee” can be safely reached on the A1 autobahn / exit Mondsee also in wintry road conditions.

Culinary delights and Advent wine can be enjoyed in front of the basilica to 9:30 p.m.
