The premises of the famous landmark of Gmunden – SEESCHLOSS ORT CASTLE – and the neighbouring LANDSCHLOSS ORT CASTLE – are used as exhibition rooms for the Traunsee Castle Advent
Already when crossing the bridge, past the Christmas trees that swim in the lake, accompanied by pre-Christmas sounds, visitors are invited to pause.

Christmas Village of Traunkirchen
The monastery building is the centre of the Christmas village of Traunkirchen.
Many businesses in the historic village centre open their doors: in the historic village centre: business enterprises, crafts enterprises, local associations with stalls offering culinary delights, the Museum of Handicraft, a “Glöckler” caps workshop, guesthouses and stalls offering rare and quaint objects from the Salzkammergut.
Supporting porgramme: concerts, brass ensemble, horse-drawn carriage rides, boat cruises and children’s entertainment programme.
