Winter Magic at Lake Attersee

From November 28, 2009 to January 6, 2010 it is all about Christmas in the Attersee-Salzkammergut holiday region and in the Attergau district.

"Shopping stress" is unheard of there.
Off the main shopping centres one can enjoy a contemplative Advent time marked by tradition, customs, Advent markets and events and get into the right mood for the most peaceful time of the year.
Altogether 75 events offer a versatile program with Advent, sports and traditional events. When snow covers the landscape in a glistening white, then the winter magic at Lake Attersee and in the Attergau district is just perfect. A treat not only for the soul,
but also for the body is offered by our restaurants and catering businesses that invite to taste Christmas culinary delights. Enjoy delicacies typical of the Attersee region!

Attergau trains and Attersee boat cruises connect our 12 small villages and make it possible to get to the various Advent events comfortably.

From Dec 1 – 24 daily a window with Christmas decorations is lit at dusk.
Nussdorf nativity scene – life-sized nativity scene in the music pavilion, early Dec. to mid-Jan.
