Thousands of lights are lit at Lake Wolfgang

Wolfgangsee Advent brings back childhood memories.
The light of the gigantic swimming “light of peace” lantern above the lake can be seen from far and invites to visiting the Wolfgangsee Advent market, one of the most beautiful Christmas markets of Austria.

Actually it comprises three Advent markets. The municipalities of St. Gilgen, Strobl and St. Wolfgang invite to marvel and enjoy at what is offered at their Advent markets.

Wolfgangsee boat cruises comfortably bring you from one village to the other.

From Thursday to Sunday visitors can enjoy authentic Advent markets offering traditional crafts and top-quality products.

Atmospheric “Kripperlroas” tour of nativity scenes from 6 to 29 January 2012
At the Wolfgangsee Kripperlroas visitors are invited to visit especially beautiful nativity scenes in the village, either at exhibitions, churches or guesthouses.

Opening Times of the Advent Markets 2011:
Opening weekend: Friday, 18 November to Sunday, 20 November 2011
1st weekend: Friday, 25 November to Sunday, 27 November 2011
2nd weekend: Friday, 1 December to Sunday, 4 December 2011
3rd weekend: Thursday, 8 December to Sunday, 11 December 2011
4th weekend: Friday, 15 December to Sunday, 18 December 2011

The markets are open from 12:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on
Thursdays and Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays and Thursday, 8 December
from 10:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on
