Advent like in the olden times
Elected to be Austria's Most Beautiful Advent Market Contemplation has always to do with the senses.
To stimulate and seduce the senses with small and big Christmas attractions requires a certain sensitiveness, which is again impressively demonstrated by this year’s production.
The Advent markets of the villages of St. Gilgen, Strobl and St. Wolfgang with their unique decorations excel in authenticity and quality. A matching event program ranges from nativity plays with children to a visit of the "Child with the Light of Peace" of the “Licht ins Dunkel” charity.
To get comfortably from one village to the next you can use the boats of Wolfgangsee Boat Cruises. Free Advent candles are available for the first 220 visitors on Advent Thursdays in St. Gilgen, Strobl and St. Wolfgang. This year again the market is open from Thursday to Sunday!
