Thanks to its favourable geographic location “Die Tauplitz” ski area is one of the snow-surest ski areas of Austria. Records show that snow heights up to 5 metres can be expected, in March there are often more than 3 metres of snow left (sunshine skiing paradise).
We also use state-of-the-art snow-making facilities from the summit to the valley. So we can guarantee snow from early December to mid-April.

Since December 2010 onwards “Die Tauplitz” will feature a new winter fairy-tale. Mittersteinbahn lift, Styria’s strongest 8-seater gondola will be opened and will give access to perfect skiing pleasures covering 700m of altitude difference.

Our modern chairlifts, lifts, slopes and snow-making facilities ensure excellent winter sports pleasures – for skiers or snowboarders. Our personnel are known for perfect slope preparation. With our powerful piste machines they create a perfect surface for your perfect day in the snow.

Tauplitzalm village is unique in Austria. It is a skiing village at an altitude of 1,650m that features some 1,000 guest beds, quaint huts and nice restaurants. There is no traffic in winter, piste machines and skidoos are used for public transport – where else can you find this?
