Boat trips on the lake Wolfgangsee

Wolfgangsee Lake is one of the most impressive lakes of Austria. Explore this fantastic area on a boat of Wolfgangsee Boats.

The Facts

Ochsenkreuz

There have been boat trips on Wolfgangsee since the Emperor times. In 1873 the steam paddle-wheeler “Franz Josef I” was launched – the 33 m long boat with the massive paddle wheels was considered a real technical achievement at that time. The “picture-perfect” nostalgic boat still commutes between the towns of St. Wolfgang, Strobl and St. Gilgen, and is one of the main attractions of the fleet. Of the six other
salon ships sailing the Wolfgangsee today, the new acquired flagship “Salzburg” in the fore.

On the Wolfgangsee shipping, the charming region around Wolfgangsee is very close, including St. Gilgen with the birth house of Mozart’s mother, St. Wolfgang with the “Weiße Rössl” and the Schafbergbahn.
