Nice waterfall with basin-like outlet and vantage place nearby.
Already at the time of Emperor Franz Josef the waterfall was a popular outing destination of important personalities.
To get to the waterfall one follows a beautiful hiking trail past Doppelblick estate. A narrow lane leads up to a vantage bench with view of Katrin pasture and Dachstein Mountain. Follow the trail into the forest to get to the waterfall after a few minutes. The source of the waterfall is Saiherbach brook which originates in the area of Gsparnggupf Mountain. Already in the time of the monarchy Hohenzoller waterfall was a popular outing destination. The excursion can be combined with a walk around Jainzen. It is located amidst a dense forest. Be careful on the path especially with children.
