The taste of the Salzkammergut Area!
On the occasion of the federal exhibition 2008 31 committed landlords of restaurants and hotels have teamed up under the name of “Salzkammergut Wirte” (“Landlords of the Salzkammergut”). In particular they pay attention to the use of regional produce from the Salzkammergut area.
What could be more beautiful than sitting in a homey parlour or in a beer garden under a chestnut tree and being spoilt with culinary delights? The seductive smell of a crispy roast mingles with the fantastic smell of freshly grilled char fish. Listen to the chirping of birds outside and enjoy the smell of freshly cut hay. When the friendly waitress eventually fills the glasses with a young “Grüner Veltliner” wine we experience true bliss. The heart rejoices and all senses are keyed to pleasure.
Regional Pleasures
Good plain cooking or fine cuisine: the landlords of the Salzkammergut area offer something for every taste. Chairman of this cooperation is Johann Panhuber from Landhotel Hubertushof, managing director is Mag. Heide Kühnel.
They use exclusively produce from local farmers and producers. Only that way it is possible to capture the authentic taste of the region. On six culinary weekends, regional produce like e.g. common whitefish and char take centre stage. Come and taste yourself the numerous culinary delights offered and enjoy the quaint gemuetlichkeit and the hearty hospitality at a Salzkammergut guesthouse.
