Dear Guests,
I am pleased to welcome you as listener to our concerts.
Bad Ischl with its approximately 1,000 events in the course of one year (from the New Year’s concert to the Traditional Christmas) probably has the densest events’ calendar of all towns of a comparable size. Culture and especially music have always ranked high in our town and we are still happy to face the task of offering an extensive and attractive program.
My sincere thanks go to all associations, because many things wouldn’t be possible without their idealism and enthusiasm in regards to “cultural work”. I would also like to thank the responsible persons from politics and tourism for their generous support, especially in difficult times.
This brochure offers an overview of the planned concerts; brass band music, concerts of the spa orchestra and the saloon band, traditional music and traditional nights, top level chamber music and last but not least the daily concerts of the spa quartet at different venues. Parallel to this brochure a detailed, weekly concert plan is available for pickup at the tourist board.
