The red variant of the Dachstein Loop covers the same route as the blue variant, however the other way round. Ascents are technically slightly more difficult. Already day one is demanding: you cycle from Lake Hallstättersee to Gosau, before an increasingly steep trail leads to Hornspitz summit. Up there one is rewarded with a fantastic view of Gosau glacier. With view of Bischofsmütze Mountain one rides in direction Ramsau in the foothills of the breath-taking south-facing faces of Dachstein Mountain.

A criterion of the tour is the last day: the ride up Öfen is really exhausting; then one returns to the Salzkammergut area.

Physical requirements: The red variant is a tour of intermediate difficulty featuring some difficult climbs.

Dachstein Loop with guide: You can conquer the Dachstein Loop with a certified mountain bike guide. He knows the route, gives tips on riding technique and points out the most interesting spots along the tour.
Surcharge for each guide: EUR 498.00 (for a maximum of 6 persons)

Our service: If you change your booking once during the season no extra costs arise (change of dates, change of the number of persons or food arrangements). For further booking changes a fee of EUR 10.00 per person is charged.
