Traces of the Habsburgs are at present throughout the Salzkammergut. Of course you will see the Imperial Villa, where even Emperor Franz Josef and Empress Sisi liked to spend their summer vacations, taste delicious regional specialties or admire the historic paddle steamer “Gisela” on Lake Traunsee in this truly stunning
area, where tradition is kept high.

Arrival: Daily, 14.04. – 13.10.2012

Day 1: Individual Arrival to Salzburg
Your tour starts in your hotel in Salzburg. After check-in you receive your travel documents as well as your bike (if rented). The day is at leisure:
Tip: Enjoy an evening concert at the Fortress Hohensalzburg.

Day 2: Salzburg – Lake Wolfgang, approx. 45 km
You leave the city of Mozart and cycle through the Flachgau via Eugendorf and Thalgau. Then cycle along the magnificent dragon wall – Drachenwand before you reach Mondsee. When you are on top of the Scharfling a beautiful view of Lake Wolfgang opens up. A rapid downhill ride takes you to the so called village of Mozart, St. Gilgen.

Day 3: Lake Wolfgang – LakeTraunsee, approx. 37 km
Start today with a leisurely boat trip across Lake Wolfgang to the world famous „White Horse Inn“, stroll through this lovely village of St. Wolfgang before you continue in direction Bad Ischl.
The former summer residence of Emperor Franz Joseph and offers a lot of culture, culinary specialties and history. Follow the stream of River Traun to reach Ebensee.

Day 4: Lake Traunsee – Lake Attersee, approx. 48 km
Lake Traunsee floats through between Traunstein Mountain and the Höllengebirge range and you cycle in direction Gmunden, well known for its beautiful ceramic. Take your time for a stroll along the lovely lake promenade with Castle Ort before you continue through the Aurachtal in direction Attersee.

Day 5: Attersee – Mondsee, approx. 33 km
Follow the turquoise Lake Attersee to Unterach and after an approx. 2 km long stage you arrive at the beautiful Lake Mondsee. You cycle along the north bank before you reach the same called picturesque village Mondsee. If you are interested in pre-historic stilt houses please inform yourself of the pre-historic
stilt houses if you are interested or you enjoy the local specialties.

Day 6: Mondsee – Trumer Lake District, approx. 46 km
You cycle leisurely through the landscape of Mondsee, pass by the natural Lake Irrsee until you reach the Trumer Lake District. We do recommend a taste of the delicious beer specialties of the Trumer brewery.

Day 7: Trumer Lake District – Salzburg approx. 46 km
The Trumer Lake District offers a great variety of places to swim and on your way back to Salzburg enjoy the fantastic view onto the mountains of the Salzkammergut.
