We start at the Weyregg tourist information office and take the road to Altmünster/Reindlmühl. At the Gahberg /Bach crossing we take a right turn into the valley of Weyregg Bach brook. We follow the trail along slightly ascending Weyregg brook. After the district of Bach the path turns into a forestry track. After about 7km we get to Klausstube crossing where we take a right turn and follow Weidensbach brook.

At all turn-offs we orientate ourselves in the direction of the stream, pass by the Weidensbacher Holzstube and then turn right at the crossroads onto the Almstall forest road in the direction of Krahberg. A short stretch continues uphill, we then pass the highest point on the tour (908 m) and keep left on the forest road, which is a steep descent in parts to Kienklause.

Here we turn right into Landesstraße shortly after Steinbach, then take the first turn-off right onto the forest road to Seefeld. Rolling further downhill in the district of Seefeld we reach the B 152, which we follow for four kilometers along the eastern lakeside of Attersee. In the district of Alexenau after the bridge we turn right in the direction of Bramosen and then immediately left onto Dr.-Heinrich-Gleißnerweg, which we follow back to Weyregg.
