Nowhere else is such a great variety of breathtaking landscape offered to a hiker than here in the Salzkammergut: magnificent mountain peaks, lush green mountain pastures and deep forests as well as rushing mountain streams, crystal clear lakes with drink-water quality.
A magnificent view onto the Dachstein Mountain with its 2.995 m which a hiker will not forget with its snow covered peak. In the inside of the mountain is the grand ice cage and the Mammuth cage and on your last overnight a true highlight awaits you. The slow cog railway takes you up to the 1783 m high Schafberg Mountain from where you can enjoy a breathtaking view across the lakes

Day 1: Individual arrival in St. Wolfgang
Check-in at your hotel and enjoy a stroll through this charming town.
Day 2: Hiking time approx. 4 hours, altitude difference approx. 10 m, approx. 11 km
St. Wolfgang – boat trip to Lake Abersee – Strobl lakeshore path – Bürglsteig path – St. Wolfgang
During your ferry trip across Lake Wolfgang enjoy the beautiful panorama of St. Wolfgang and hike back along the romantic Bürglsteig path.
Day 3: Hiking time approx. 5 hours, altitude difference approx. 225 m, approx. 18 km
St. Wolfgang - Sattlweg path - Lake Schwarzensee - Eisenau Alp - Unterach
Today's route leads you along the Sattlweg path to Lake Schwarzensee, through the splendid Eisenau alp area, where you have a breathtaking view onto Lake Attersee. Follow the Attersee eastshore path to Unterach. Burggraben moat is closed.
Day 4: Hiking time approx. 4,5 hours, altitude difference approx. 130 m, approx. 13 km
Unterach – Eglsee – Nussdorf – ship to Unterach
Today you hike slightly uphill through the forest still enjoying glances of Lake Attersee. The nature protection area Egelsee impresses with its diversity of rare species of plants, especially orchids.
Day 5: Hiking time approx. 4 hours, altitude difference approx. 430 m, approx. 11 km
Bus to Mondsee - Fortress Wartenfels - Fuschl am See
The bus takes you from Unterach to Mondsee, along the lake you hike in direction 'Dragon Wall', (Drachenwand) where you can see the remains of Fortress Wartenfels and admire the great scenery of
Lake Mondsee and Lake Fuschl.
Day 6: Hiking time approx. 3,5 hours, altitude difference 15 m, approx. 12 km
Around Lake Fuschl
The easy walking tour round Lake Fuschl is very relaxing. Enjoy on the terrace of the castle a cup of coffee, the even shore path around the lake and a jump into the crystal-clear water!
Day 7: Hiking time approx. 4,5 hours, altitude difference approx. 105 m, approx.
15 km, Fuschl – Hochlackenhof 774 m - St. Gilgen - Fürberg path - ship to St. Wolfgang- cog railway to Schafberg and overnight stay
Today a true highlight awaits you. The historic rack railway takes you up to the top of Mountain Schafberg 1780 m. You will be overwhelmed by the fantastic panorama of this unique landscape.
Day 8: Downhill ride with cog railway and individual departure
