Summer
Promenade route round Altaussee Lake, this course is used for the annual "Narcissus Run".
The circular route around Altaussee Lake is just as interesting in both directions. Note that the northern bank on the village side is exposed to the sun whereas the south bank is shaded.
Starting off at the Seevilla Hotel, run past the church and the Hotel am See. Enjoy the view of the lake, which is typically calm as a millpond, and the glaciers of the Dachstein. After leaving the woods, you pass the Kahlseneck open air swimming pool and the Jausenstation (snack station). The ferry path ends a few meters further along at a century old fisherman's hut at "Kaltenbrunn" at the junction with a narrow sandy track. At the far end of the lake there is the Jausenstation and the Naturhaus Seewiese. Continue along the southern shore of the lake through slightly hilly terrain, until you finally reach the Seevilla once more.
