Follow the "Book and Bible Smugglers' Trails" in Austria.
The Evangelical Church officially opened the "Book Trail" in 2008, and since then many have followed in the foot steps of the Bible Smugglers and the Protestants who worshipped in Secret.
You can follow the trail yourself or together with a local hiking guide. An idea excursion for groups too!
The paths are easy to follow, and between 10 and 20 km are covered each day.
Books on "The Book Trail" are available from www.bibelwandern.at to order, and are also obtainable from tourist information offices throughout the Dachstein Salzkammergut region.
