Fishing on Lake Fuschlsee

Enjoy the simple pleasures in life - get hooked on fishing the serene and beautiful waters of Fuschlsee Lake!

Lake Fuschlsee has a surface area of 265ha and a maximum depth of 70m and is located at 664m above sea level. It ranks among the most popular fishing lakes in the Salzkammergut. In former times the lake served as fish supplier for the archbishops of Salzburg. In the 50ies, due to the purity of the water, the city of Salzburg wanted to use the lake for the supply of drinking water but the municipality prevented the realization of this project.

Today Lake Fuschlsee is run by the fishing master Gerhard Langmaier and his staff. Mr. Langmaier is not only responsible for the cultivation but also for direct marketing, processing of fish products, licenses, administration, organization, supply and much more.
