Diving in Traunsee

Located in the wildly romantic setting of Traunstein-
Erlakogel-Sonnsteinmassiv, the Traunsee, being the deepest of the Salzkammergut lakes, is a true haven for the practiced diver.

Accessible by motor boat
Weißer Steinbruch: A vertical sloping rock face up to 140 meters.
Eisenau: A wonderful small bay (earlier with a guesthouse); overhanging rock already at 1 meter water depth; direction south at approx. 20 meters a working ship.
Karbach: A peninsula with a ‘proper’ guesthouse, flatter areas, directly in the surroundings of the mooring interspersed with steep rock faces, covered with mussels, falling to up to approx. 140 meters.
