At the heart of the impressive Salzkammergut Lake District, the Irrsee is in the lovely Mondseeland Country, only 30 kilometers out from the Festival Town of Salzburg.
The Irrsee is a swamp lake and sometimes reaches temperatures of 27°C, one of the warmest in the entire region. In summertime it’s all about water sports. Irrsee, which is also called “Zellersee” because of the main town, Zell am Moos, stretches five kilometers from north to south and is almost one kilometer wide at its broadest point.
