There is a restaurant, open when the weather is nice, an outpost for the famous Austrian “Jausenbrot” (a wooden platter with a mixture of cheeses, meats and bread), well groomed loop trails for hiking, interesting animals and plants, fishing and, of course, longer hiking trails in the Totes Gebirge mountain range for the more adventurous visitor. Also worth seeing is the royal family’s former hunting lodge where Franz Josef and Sissi often spent their leisure time.

For mountain bikers there is also a tour over the Fahrnau to Rindbach near Ebensee.
