Altausseersee

From a scenic perspective, the Altausseer Lake is among the most beautiful lakes in the Salzkammergut. It lies at the foot of the Loser Peak in a fantastic mountain landscape.

The water in Altausseer Lake is as clear as clean glass. It has a shiny, dark blue color that has earned it the nickname, “dark blue ink pot”.
