Mondsee

With its two lakes, Mondsee and Zellersee, the Mondsee Region was already a popular destination among Austria’s former royalty. Only 27 kilometers out from Salzburg, today it is one of the most desirable summer getaways for innumerable international visitors.

Mondsee, the warmest of the Salzkammergut lakes (up to 26°C), has the largest windsurf and sailing school in the German-speaking world. Sports such as water skiing, paddle boating, sailing, windsurfing, diving, swimming and golf as well as boat rides are loved by both young and old.
