On Sunday the strong, cold wind in the foothills of the Alps makes it colder; at times the wind may be stormy. The Inner Salzkammergut is well-protected from the wind. Rain and snow showers make the day unsettled.

Monday is going to be wintry and brings a considerable amount of fresh snow, probably down into the valleys.

Snowfalls continue on Tuesday – altogether there may well be some 20 to 30cm of fresh snow in Mondsee, St. Gilgen or Bad Ischl. There are still brisk winds in the foothills of the Alps.
