This colourful late- summer celebration has been drawing in the crowds to Bad Goisern for many years. The event which takes place during the last weekend in August is always popular with those who love joining in with local customs as well as folk music. In keeping with tradition, the Gamsbart Olympics will be held again this year ..........

* A "Gamsbart" is a tuft of hair from the back of a chamoix which is traditionally worn as a hat decoration.

23rd Lake Hallstatt Race

Runners from around the world will get together in Hallstatt on 2nd May 2010 to compete in the inner Salzkammergut's mega sporting event.

51th Narcissus Festival

Splendid narcissus flowers as far as they eye can see… Every year, spring is welcomed with the Narcissus Festival, the biggest flower parade in Austria. Highlights are the popular car and float parade at Bad Aussee and on Altausseer See Lake, next year scheduled on May 25th, 2008.
