The lively Cultural Society "Kulturbunt Hallstatt" begins its new series of events on Sunday, November 8, 2009. The title - "JAZZ AND SWING UNTIL SPRING"

On March 27, 2010, the Parish of Bad Goisern will be transformed into a pulsing centre of jazz and jazz-related music.

The race against the Schafberg cog wheel railway goes on the Sunday, May 16th, 2010 in the 11^th Round. After the successful comeback of the run to the top of the Schafberg Mountain again this year only real sportsmen will run up to the mountain peaks of the Schafberg.

The Upper Austrian Jazz Orchestra proudly presents, in conjunction with Franz Milacher, its 12th annual Big Band and Jazz Workshop

With more than 4000 competitors from 30 different nations, the Salzkammergut Mountainbike Trophy is the event for professional and hobby cyclists alike!

In August it is all about the birthday of emperor Franz-Josef I in Bad Ischl. On this occasion numerous festivities take place in the heart of the Salzkammergut from August 14 to 18.

This colourful late- summer celebration has been drawing in the crowds to Bad Goisern for many years. The event which takes place during the last weekend in August is always popular with those who love joining in with local customs as well as folk music. In keeping with tradition, the Gamsbart Olympics will be held again this year ..........

* A "Gamsbart" is a tuft of hair from the back of a chamoix which is traditionally worn as a hat decoration.

Runners from around the world will get together in Hallstatt on 2nd May 2010 to compete in the inner Salzkammergut's mega sporting event.

Splendid narcissus flowers as far as they eye can see… Every year, spring is welcomed with the Narcissus Festival, the biggest flower parade in Austria. Highlights are the popular car and float parade at Bad Aussee and on Altausseer See Lake, next year scheduled on May 25th, 2008.
