Prince William loves it, Hollywood star Tommy Lee Jones loves it too and the German actor Heino Ferch is wild about the sport of polo which has since 300 BC quietly spread around the world. To play one needs a lot of nerve and a very big wallet. Polo is the Formular One, or perhaps better described as the Rolls- Royce of riding sports. A good team requires at least 50 ponies, so that each player is able to change horses up to eight times during a game, so polo will always remain an exclusive sport attracting exclusive sponsors.
As a Polo Team is made up of four players each requiring at least four polo ponies, more than 80 polo ponies will be present at the tournament in Strobl.
Rreliminary Program
Friday, 20. August
Match: 3:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Saturday, 21th. August
Parade with all the players through the center of Strobl at 11:00 a.m.
Match: 3:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Sunday, 22th. August
Semifinal: 12:00 p.m.
Finale: 1:30 p.m. followed by awards ceremony
