Discover the beauty of our World Heritage Region and hike from Obertraun via historic Hallstatt to Bad Goisern...

.... and then onwards to Gosau - located idyllically in the mountains.

Day 1 - Arrival
- Tour of the Dachstein Giant Ice Cave
- Overnight stay in Obertraun

Day 2 - A warm-up
- Walk along the Eastern Shore Trail to Hallstatt Railway Station
- Cross the lake by boat
- Trip on the "Salt Mine Train"
- Tour of the ancient burial ground and the target="_blank">Hallstatt Salt Mines
- Walk along the "Soleleitungsweg" to Bad Goisern
- Overnight stay in Bad Goisern

Day 3 – Reach for the mountains!
- Hike up to the Goisern Hut – Enjoy a well-earned snack.
- Descent into Gosau
- Overnight stay in Gosau

Day 4 – Return home
- Those still feeling energetic can take a walk up to the Löckernmoos - a natural gem. Those who wish to take things a little easier can take the land train up to the grindstone quarries.
- Alternatively, you could visit the Lower Gosau Lake before your return home.
- Return to Obertraun by Post Bus.
